FiveM Development & Resource Customization
Discuss custom FiveM development, resource integration and server-side scripting with Kiava. Define your framework, features and acceptance requirements.
Develop resources for your FiveM server
A FiveM project needs a clear description of the player experience and the server rules it supports. Request a proposal for custom resources, changes to an existing resource or integration between your server systems. Describe the current server rather than assuming that every script fits every installation.
Framework and dependency compatibility
Include the versions of your server artifacts, your framework, database connector and relevant resources. ESX and QBCore projects can have different data structures and dependencies; a compatibility check is needed before agreeing to reuse or modify a script. A resource manifest identifies the files and dependencies used by a resource.
Server-side validation matters
Client requests should be checked on the server before changing money, inventory, permissions or other trusted state. Define the authorized roles and permitted actions for each feature. Testing should cover ordinary player actions, invalid requests, restarts and the behavior of connected resources.
Plan testing and handover
Agree on a development environment, backups, acceptance scenarios and a deployment window. Your request should also clarify source-code delivery, configuration instructions, support and licensing. Third-party resources must be used according to their owners’ terms and the applicable Cfx.re requirements.
Start with a project brief
Send the requested gameplay features, framework and dependency versions, relevant error messages and an example of the desired behavior. Do not send server passwords in your enquiry. Discuss your FiveM programming project, read about custom FiveM scripts or review FiveM hosting requirements.
Your next big thing starts here.
